Engagement Photos in Vernon

Engagement Photos in Vernon always seem extra special when I am meeting my couple for the first time in person. Emmett and Alix are getting married next summer here in the Okanagan and we first started talking via email as they both studying in Ireland.

Meeting in medical school almost 8 years ago, Ireland has been home since then. Alix’s parents moved here to Vernon a few years ago and call Predator Ridge Golf Resort home. With Emmett being from the States, they had to decide as a couple where they look to hold their wedding and as it will be a destination for most people attending, they have settled on the Okanagan. They spent time during their vacation here looking at venues and I am excited to hear what they finally decide on as they have a list of favourites now.

Proposing during a hike at the beginning of the year, Emmett and Alix wanted to incorporate their love for hiking by choosing a location for their portraits that had trees and water. With Sparkling Hill Resort being close to Predator Ridge where they are staying with Alix’s parents, it was the perfect choice. They even drove up to our meeting place in a golf cart as the two resorts are close by.

We lucked out with lovely weather as there has been a lot of rain and storm watches the past few days and we were so thankful to see the sun that we played with in the background, creating that beautiful evening light.

It was so lovely to meet the two of you and I can’t wait to capture your wedding next summer!
