Grad Photos in Vernon always make me weepy as I imagine what it will be like when it’s my kids time to leave high school.

I try and imagine (we are 4 years away with our son and 6 with our daughter) what adventures will await them when they graduate. What will their University aspirations be? What career path will they be setting out on?

Then one of your best friends in the whole wide world (we have known each other since elementary school) asks you if you would photograph her family as her oldest son graduates. Enter big lump in your throat.

To watch this young man grow up has been an honour. He has amazed me with his wit, candor, and intelligence since the day he started walking and talking.

He is one of those young people who could revolutionize the world with just one of the many ideas he has in a day.

I am so glad he is sticking close to home so I can get updates on college and hear about everything he is learning.

And to my bestie Risa. You are the epitome of a momma bear with all the grit, determination and heart that gets your boy to this place in his life. I am in awe of you and all that you have learned being a mom to someone as incredible as Cohen. I love your family so much and I am so thankful you let me capture this beautiful time in your families life. I can’t wait to see where you will go Cohen!
