Grad Portraits in Vernon BC

As an Okanagan Valley based photographer, there are lots of portrait sessions I love to create but one of my favourites are Grad Portraits in Vernon BC

Vernon has SO many beautiful locations to create stunning portraits. The landscape is so varied but time and time again I return to Kalamalka Lake for its’ stunning turquoise water and incredible views. When my clients are also wearing incredible dresses like Evas’ I also don’t want to take them trekking too far as quite often their dresses need to stay pristine for upcoming events like Grad and Prom and there are some beautiful vantage points right along the road where we capture these stunning portraits.

Grad Photos in Vernon always make me weepy as I imagine what it will be like when it’s my kids time to leave high school. I try and imagine (we are 3 years away with our son and 5 with our daughter) what adventures will await them when they graduate. What will their University aspirations be? What career path will they be setting out on?

I was so thrilled when Eva’s mom called me. She wasn’t sure if Eva had originally wanted to have portraits captured. She hasn’t worn a dress since she was four but when Eva said “yes” her mom instantly thought of me. Her mom is actually one of my favourite humans, my doctor and Eva is following into the family profession of medicine and nursing.

I am rather obsessed with Evas’ dress. I think it my favourite Grad dress I ever photographed and you would never know she doesn’t normally wear one! It is stunning and so are you Eva. I am so honoured you decided to get your grad portraits done with me.
