Being Kelowna Wedding Photographers for over 17 years, we have captured a lot of beautiful weddings. I often say that capturing a wedding is a cultural experience for me. Each one is so unique and different and a wedding represents the beautiful elements that makes the couple distinctly them.

For Shawna and Al, there was SO much love and energy poured into their day. When I walked into the Harvest, I was blown away by the florals, the table arrangements and all the beautiful gifts they had made for all of their guests. This wedding had every attention to detail looked after.

The day couldn’t have been more beautiful either. It was Thanksgiving weekend and the light gave us that beautiful autumn hue. Knowing their guests were spending their Thanksgiving weekend with them to celebrate, the bride and groom were even graciously hosting a catered Thanksgiving dinner for everyone the next day at their home! How special is that?

The other moment that I thought really spoke to the heart of this couple was the fact that they had postponed their wedding three times during Covid to ensure everyone they loved could be there. Al said “he wasn’t getting married if his mom couldn’t be there”.

An incredible love story, an incredible group of people and one heck of a party. It was a remarkable day Al and Shawna. Thanks for including Kate and I in the festivities!
