Okanagan Wedding Photographers

As Okanagan Wedding Photographers, heading out in the morning of the Bride and Grooms wedding to photograph them on the 80 acre farm they live on, the possibilities of where you are going to work with them are endless.

Greeted by Jim, the groom, we took the couples side by side out on a tour of the property to see where the light and shadows would best help us on a hot and sunny day. For the first look, we choose the beautiful forested grove that the couple walks almost daily with their dog. It was like a fairy land with beautiful moss and old growth trees. The sunlight was shining through the trees and it felt like the perfect location for the groom to well up with tears at sight of his soon to be wife.

Earlier that morning, Grandma had talked to me about the love Hayley and Jim share and how thankful she was her grand daughter had met such an incredible man. And during the first look you could see how much they loved each other….the ring exchange said it all when he, unprompted by us, kissed her hand.

This was very much a family affair with the family helping with the reception area, food and everything in between. You could see how everyone loves this couple and were pitching in to make their wedding celebration a party to remember.

For both Jim and Hayley, their wedding party were dear friends who had been by their sides for many years. That always speaks volumes to me. And the fact that their dog, who wasn’t really supposed to be a part of the wedding, made a break for the ceremony and joined the guys walking down the aisle. I love that! Then she sat politely at the front row and then followed mom and dad out again after their procession. I love dogs!!! 😉

Hayley and Jim thank you for trusting us to capture your beautiful day and a piece of your beautiful love story!
