Creating Okanagan Wedding Photography all over this gorgeous valley, has taken me to some pretty spectacular places.  I have also worked with many couples who have traveled a great distance to come to their destination wedding.  I think Jody and Chris are currently winning in this category.  Coming all the way from Cape Town South Africa, so Jody could be married at her parents home on the westside of Okanagan Lake, is a huge testament to how much Jody, who found her way to England, then South Africa…still is very much a BC girl.

Even the best man and bride butler, as Jody affectionally called him, were from England and South Africa.  Talk about loyal friends.

That’s how the whole day felt.  Love and loyalty.

Another extraordinary part of the day was Jody and Chris deciding to get married on her parents 50th Wedding Anniversary!  How beautiful is that?  It was also important that Shirley and Wayne mark this milestone too.  So with a JP; the amazing Esther Pearson, already coming to perform one ceremony, why not also do a vow renewal.  So that’s what happened and I think it was absolutely beautiful.  There was just SO much love and support present.

The gorgeous couple are currently in Ecuador enjoying their honeymoon.  Congratulations Chris and Jody.  You are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. I wish you all the happiness in the world!
