Time and time again as a Vernon Photographer, I am seeing more intimate weddings taking place. And for the first time in almost a 20 year career as a wedding photographer (19 years and counting….) both the Bride and Groom chose their brothers and sisters to be their wedding party. How beautiful is that!

Creating the most beautiful, heartfelt ceremony and reception, Chris and Kristy had their stunning evening ceremony at the bride’s dads residence on beautiful Okanagan Lake. The dock was the perfect shape (although Chelsea my associate was worried at one point I was going to fall off during the ceremony-sorry to freak you out…..) to hold the guest list of about 55.

With Chris and Kristy being from the Coast, (and most of their family and friends) I have to admire how they all handled the scorching heat. Okanagan Valley summer heat is not for the faint of heart, but they all handled it like pros. And yes, we were literally in the middle of a summer heat wave!

There were so many beautiful moments and beautiful details. And I absolutely adore how Kristy and Chris laugh. They ALWAYS had a smile on their face and a laugh was not far behind. Their love for each other was was evident through every glance, touch and kiss.

I am so excited to hear you may be making the Okanagan home someday soon. I have loved capturing your engagement portraits, wedding and I know this will not be the last time we work together.
