When this Vernon Photographer first answered a client enquiry last year, little did she know that the bride to be would be one of her past students. Prior to getting my photography degree, I was a teacher for 9 years. Most of those 9 were spent at one school; Harwood Elementary here in Vernon. I saw a lot of students over those years as a I was assigned to a few classrooms, but was also the music teacher for part of my time there. This lovely bride to be Hailey, was both in one of my classrooms and in my music class.
As I start to photograph past clients weddings and newborns; it is always such a special full circle moment for me.
Hailey and her fiance Aaron are one of those soul bound couples that met during Covid. As if a global pandemic wasn’t enough heart ache; soon after getting engaged, Aaron found out he had cancer.
The tenacity, courage and love this couple has shown during this devastating time has bound them together in a profound way.
Now thankfully in remission, I feel like Spring; with it’s beautiful burst of life and colours, was the perfect time to capture their Engagement Portraits. They too are bursting with new possibilities and an exciting future. One that includes camping, snuggling their puppy Tetley and the big wedding; next month! I am beyond excited for them and Kate and I can’t wait to capture all their beautiful moments.
You make a beautiful couple and we are excited to capture your love story!
