Vernon Photographer, Grad 2020

As a Vernon Photographer, I specialize in a lot of portrait photography. Some of my favourites are my newborn clients (Baby Bliss Photography) Weddings, and Portraits of beautiful humans; like this 2020 Graduate, Olivia.

I first met Olivia (or ‘Liv as many call her) through Lights of Broadway. It’s an amazing musical theatre company here in Vernon and last year we were in Mamma Mia together. It was 9 months of rehearsals and through it, her mom and I (who played my best friend in the show-Rosie) became besties as well. I have so many amazing memories of Lorrie and I laughing during rehearsals because of the absurdity of the two of us learning to dance like we knew what the heck we were doing!

Last year, during rehearsals, Lorrie booked me for Liv’s grad but little did we know what 2020 would hold for this particular year of grads. Grads have worked so hard these past 13 years (not to mention the dedication of their parents) to have so many of their festivities put on hold and look very different than they imagined.

Through it all though, they persevered and special events occurred that never would have come to fruition if it were’t for COVID. I am so proud of all the 2020 Grads for taking everything in stride!

For Liv’s beautiful portraits, we incorporated her beloved grandfathers car; who sadly past away a few years ago. We know he was their in spirit and I particularly love these portraits. His car was the perfect backdrop, as well as the ever beautiful Kalamalka Lake.

Olivia, you will tackle anything that comes your way in the next few years with grit, grace and charm. Just like you do so many things. Your mom and dad are so proud of you!
