We Vernon Photographers absolutely adore autumn in our beautifully diverse Okanagan Valley. And these clients love autumn SO much that they had TWO weddings in October!
I like to refer to Aaron and Darby’s wedding on Thanksgiving weekend, as Darby and Aaron 2.0
Last October, (so this beautiful day is their one year Anniversary) Aaron and Darby were able to celebrate a small and intimate version of the wedding they were planning. I was honoured to be there and it was so much fun after the ceremony to work with just the gorgeous bride and groom.
This year, we got to make it a full fledged celebration!
I have had the privilege of working with this wonderful family for years. When I first met Darby’s family, Aaron would be added in to a just a few of of the family portraits….in case he didn’t make the cut. Everyone knew he was in the family to stay soon thereafter and he started getting more and more “airplay” in subsequent family sessions 🙂
For this years wedding, Kate, my ever amazing associate photographer got added to the party this year and we had so much fun.
The wedding party were so photogenic and jovial and a highlight for Kate and I were being included in photographing the private vows Darby and Aaron did after the ceremony. They were some of the most authentic and beautiful words we have heard any couples exchange.
Their beautifully overcast day meant the perfect lighting for everything we did and Kalamalka Lake was the perfect shade of blue for both portraits and their ceremony that over looked it. Your day was PERFECT. And so were those beautiful fall colours!
