Vernon Wedding Photographer

Of all the special occasions clients hire a professional photographer, being a Vernon Wedding Photographer is one of my favourites. When I studied professional photography in 2005 at the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, I knew Wedding Photography was going to be my career.  I LOVED capturing love and documenting a couples special day.

I have met a lot of amazing couples and vendors over the past 15 years of creating wedding portraits and but this session will forever stand out.  It was a weekend of a lifetime where I created wedding portraits for a very special couple, at a very special venue.

Ben and Kailyn’s wedding in April wasn’t the vision they had for their special day.  Only immediate family and I were in attendance but that didn’t stop their love story from being realized.  They were announced as Mr. and Mrs. and the party they plan on having one day to celebrate with friends will be a huge celebration!

When the opportunity to create some more wedding portraits for them came about again, I was thrilled. They are beautiful inside and out and I was so excited to work with them again.

The spectacular Keefer Lake Lodge was to be their backdrop and after having spent the weekend there now myself, I can truly say it is a magical venue for weddings.  

Nestled in the heart of the Monashee mountain range and situated on it’s own private mountain lake, the Lodge at Keefer Lake is a master piece of architecture.  Over looking the lake, I was in awe of it’s views every morning as I sipped my coffee.  It was so peaceful and to know we were were the only guests there made the experience so special.  Imagine having your wedding at this venue! How incredible to be the only ones having access to the lake and lodge. It’s paradise. It would be one heck of a party for all your guests!

Seeing the  Monashees Mountains from the top of the mountain and getting to capture Ben and Kailyn there was truly a special moment.  It doesn’t get any better for a backdrop.  When I started editing their portraits, I felt like I was looking at a green screen.  It’s out of this world!

Thank you Dave and Jeff Gostlin for having us out to your incredible lodge.  You are truly the best hosts around and you have built a lodge that is one of a kind.  I look forward to capturing more weddings at your beautiful venue!
