As a Vernon Wedding Photographer, nothing brings me more joy than hearing from someone who wants to plan the ultimate surprise proposal. Gurinder contacted me a few months before he and his girlfriend of three years, were planning a beautiful weekend get away to Sparkling Hill Resort and Spa in Vernon. Renowned for it’s tranquility and romance, Sparkling Hill is a favourite venue for me and to hear the epic plans he had for Vicky were so exciting!

Not only did he and I start planning how we could capture this exciting moment in their relationship but he involved Michelle, from Okanagan Event Planning to pull off the ultimate surprise. While Vicky thought her and Gurinder were out for a pre-dinner appetizer, we gained access into their room and transformed it into the beautiful surprise you see here.

It was so exciting to see the look of shock on her face the minute the door opened and the excitement in Gurinder’s eyes knowing what was coming next.

The moment she said “Yes”, I wanted to cry along side them. It was SO perfect!

After the shock of everything started to wear off, we got some more portraits in their room and then ventured outside for some of the reasons we all love Sparkling Hills so much. The beautiful scenery that surrounds it.

It was one of the wettest days this Spring but that didn’t stop these two adorable people from cuddling up under an umbrella and get some beautiful engagement portraits.

I am SO happy for the two of you! You make a beautiful couple!!!
