Wedding Photographers in the Okanagan

As Wedding Photographers in the Okanagan, my beloved associate Kate and I have travelled to a lot of locations.

This past weekend, it was my family and I driving to the small town of Lillooet B.C. (about a 3 hour drive from our home) to share in the beautiful ceremony between Kate and Simon.

To say that photographing my associate of almost 20 years brought out all the emotions is understatement. It was hard not to be a blubbering mess!

And set against the beautiful mountains that surround Lillooet, everything about the day was absolute perfection.

Purposefully making the whole weekend a camping trip for friends and family made it also extremely memorable and our daughter now says that when she gets married, this is exactly the type of wedding she wants!

Simon and Kate have known each other since Elementary School. In Kate’s own words:

“Our grade 3 teacher, Mrs. Fieldhouse asked the class if any of us knew who invented electricity. Simon and I were the only kids to put up our hands and I knew he knew from something smart and I knew the answer from reading a joke book. That’s the first moment I remember actually noticing him.

Then in Grade 4, I passed Simon a note that read, “I don’t just like you, I love you.” And he threatened to tell the teacher unless I gave him $10. I never gave him the $10.”

Many years later their love story picked up again and the rest is history.

Love you Kate and Simon. There is no where else I would rather have been this past weekend than at your beautiful ceremony and celebration. LOVE YOU!!!!!
