As a photographer who captures Vernon Weddings, on our day with Ali and Devin was absolutely perfect!

From the overcast skies, to a bride and groom who loved to laugh and a stellar Wedding Party; everything about their day made us smile.

When I met up with Ali and Devin about a month ago to finalize our timeline for the day; I immediately felt connected to their easy going and vivacious personalities.  They wanted their day to be fun, and stress free.  IF things didn’t go exactly as planned, they were going to go with whatever came.  The day was more about their relationship, not the finer details of putting on a “perfect, magazine worthy” day.

With that said however, one look at the beautiful decorations and details that transformed the College’s cafeteria into a beautiful reception venue; one could see how much time Ali and Devin and their families put into planning this beautiful celebration.

After meeting Ali and her gorgeous Wedding party (seriously how beautiful do they look in their Grecian, purple gowns?) it was time for the best part of the day.  The first look.

Both Devin and Ali had warned me that there might be some tears (which endeared them to me even more) but oh my….the emotion present was so heartwarming.  Devin spent much of his day “apologizing” for his tears but both Kate and I were so touched by his feelings for his beautiful bride.  There was so much raw emotion 

The overcast skies were perfect for the gorgeous reflections, perfectly exposed backgrounds and the opportunity to go up to Turtle Mountain for the scenic views with the Wedding party.

The ceremony was again the perfect opportunity for lots of emotion and was under the direction of the very talented Sue Cairnie.  She was an amazing officiant for any one looking for a very special ceremony.  There was so much love present in the room as Ali and Devin became husband and wife.

The party continued up at the Vernon campus of Okanagan College.  

Ali and Devin; thank you for inviting Kate and I to share your day with you!  It couldn’t have been more perfect!  We wish you all the happiness in the world!
