Kelowna Wedding Photographer | Doug & Maxine

As a Kelowna Wedding Photographer, it was a wonderful honour to photograph the Wedding of Doug & Maxine. Doug is the father in law to my best friend in elementary school and I was SO excited to see her and her family again after not seeing them for a few years.  They live in Langley, so I don’t see them very often and the last time I did, I photographed their beautiful daughters.  They were so much smaller then!

Doug and Maxine wanted to keep their Wedding, intimate and focused on family and friends.  They were married in their beautiful back yard and Doug finished a gorgeous deck just recently so they could have their reception there as well.  It was a beautiful accent to their pretty decorations.

Maxine walked down the aisle, and was given away by her granddaughter and Doug’s son Alan was one of their witnesses to sign the registry.

Maxine and Doug also wanted to keep the focus of the photography capturing the friends and family who came to celebrate.  We had lots of fun capturing all the different family groups and getting lots of candid iamges as everyone celebrated the happy couple.  I think it’s amazing that they would dedicate their photography time to capturing wonderful, keepsake memories for all their friends and family.

Knowing each other from high-school, Maxine and Doug were reacquainted while Maxine was organizing their high school reunion.  The rest, they say, is history and I wish them all the happiness in the world.  Congratulations Doug and Maxine!
