Okanagan Wedding Photographer

As weddings go, it doesn’t get much more exciting for this Okanagan Wedding Photographer, than holding your wedding on the shores of Shuswap Lake; with your mode of transportation a speed boat and a houseboat!

The wedding of Brett & Teneil must have been a logistical challenge for everyone, considering they were renting three house boats, and then bringing everything they needed from food to decorating via houseboat to the location they found. They aren’t from the Sicamous area so finding the perfect spot for the ceremony and reception would have been a stressful endeavour. They pulled it off in grand style however, finding the perfect spot to create a magical woodland wedding amongst a beautiful forest and point of land. It was a perfect backdrop for their incredible ceremony. It also afforded us some amazing locations for portraits, all within a few minutes of the houseboats. A special thank you goes out to Philipp ( a licensed drone pilot) for coming out on the boat with me so we could get some really special arial portraits. It’s such a special perspective above the cliffs.

Brett and Teneil’s love story was more than a decade in the making and the joy surrounding them on their special day was very apparent. There was so much fun, laughter and love present. Everyone there was either helping cook the special dinner, decorating, officiating their wedding or making sure it was a big old party.

Thank you to everyone in the wedding for making Kate and I feel so welcomed and for all the speed boat taxi rides to get us to and from the wedding site!
