Being a Vernon Photographer, I meet a lot of couples who are planning their wedding as a destination wedding. Our beautiful Okanagan Valley is coveted for it’s gorgeous lakes, predictable summer weather and offers guests an opportunity to be on vacation too. Wes and Samara took all that into account, as well as being offered a beautiful home on Okanagan Lake, as the backdrop to their ceremony and reception. Their incredibly beautiful wedding was filled with so much love and joy; not to mention their adorable son Maverick. Could he be any cuter?

One of the memories that will forever be etched in my mind when I think back on their wedding, was how much emotion was present. Whether it was Samara and her mom crying at the realization that the wedding day was finally here as she got dressed, Samara’s dad seeing her for the first time as a bride, or Wes, holding Maverick, watching Samara and her dad walk towards him down the aisle. Everyone was moved by the magnitude of the day.

There was also a lot of fun. This group knew how to have fun and I loved that Wes had two brothers and a brother in law in his wedding party. Samara was also surrounded by life long friends. They were all so much fun to work with and tease; sorry, not sorry Clay 😉

You make such a beautiful family of three Wes and Samara and I am so honoured I was a part of your incredibly special day!
