I am so blessed to do Okanagan Wedding Photography. It’s my passion and calling. And this engagement session was particularly meaningful as the two people about to get married (this coming weekend!) are dear friends.

Jason and I met many years ago while working aboard cruise ships. He was an art auctioneer for Park West Gallery and I had just graduated from photography school. I was working for a computer company, teaching cruisers how to edit and use their new digital cameras.

One day, I was using Jasons auction space to give a lecture about digital photography and he hung around to hear my seminar. Afterwards, he came up to me and said what a good speaker I was and whether or not I had ever considered being an auctioneer. We chatted more and a few months later, I was at auctioneering school.

A few months later, I actually went to work for Jason as his art gallery director. We worked together for a few months and then I was moved to work with another auctioneer. During that time, he was talking to his good friend, Paul Bielby. Paul asked if he knew of any good gallery directors and Jason, said he did. Me.

Little did I know that that conversation between Jay and Paul would lead me to meeting Paul, who would become my future husband!!!

Now Jason is marrying the love of his life, Jaclyn, and Paul and I couldn’t be more excited.

Still working on cruise ships as auctioneers, Jason and Jaclyn just recently finished a contract so they were just able to come up from Vancouver for their Engagement Session. Having not met Jaclyn yet, we had so much fun, not only at the session but during their one night visit.

Their Wedding is going to be a small, intimate affair at the Inn of the Quay.

I am honoured and excited to photographing their day and can’t wait to share it all with you.

Jason and Jaclyn. I am so excited you are about to embark on a new adventure; as husband and wife! It’s going to be an amazing day!
