Vernon Engagement Photography

Vernon Engagement Photography holds a special place in this photographers heart. It’s usually the first time I get to work with my potential bride and groom and get to know them better. For this engagement session however, capturing Steve and Emma’ s engagement portraits was extremely special.

I remember the day that Emma was born. She is the daughter of one of my closest friends and I was teaching a grade 2/3 class when the school secretary let me know. (For those of you that don’t know, I was a teacher for nine years before going back to school and getting my degree in photography).

Having watched Emma grow into a beautiful young woman, and now finding the love of her life, it was extremely special to be photographing her.

She also looks like my best friend A LOT so I has to stop myself a few times from getting too freaked out 😉

Steve and Emma are planning their dream wedding for next year and I can’t wait to be with all their family and friends to celebrate.

Although smoke from nearby forest fires created rather smoky skies when we did their Engagement Session, Kal Lake was absolutely gorgeous as our backdrop.

Steve and Emma were both rather nervous when we started and I am so glad that we were able to work together to assure them that working with me is not a scary process 😜

Once we started, they settled into each others arms and there’s no question that their love for each other radiates out from their portraits.

Steve and Emma, I am so excited for the both of you! Thank you for sharing yourselves with me and I can’t wait to capture your wedding next year! It’s going to be amazing

I can see why you said they were a magical couple to photograph Renee. There are few things better as a parent then witnessing your baby engulfed in love! Thank you for another magnificent job giving us a peek into something so precious and using the smoky skies to create the perfect contrast with kalamalka lake. You are a genius as always!ReplyCancel

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!  The photos & scenery are amazing but they take a backseat to that gorgeous, happy couple!!  Funny how a talented photographer can do that 😉ReplyCancel
