Vernon Wedding Photographer | Dan & Sam Get Married!

Being a Vernon Wedding Photographer means that I sometimes have the privilege of photographing a couple who I know before they become my clients. Although I didn’t know them well (and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them better-they are such a fantastic, fun couple) I did know them from the car club that my parents belong to.

Kiwi Dan, as he is known in the car club drives a hot rod himself but as it is not entirely finished; a number of gorgeous vehicles were borrowed for the big day.  One special car, that Dan arrived in, was my parents ’56 Chevy. The last time it was used in a Wedding, it was my husband and I who were the ones getting married.  I actually got teary eyed following the gorgeous couple…watching all the heads turn as they saw a Bride & Groom drive by, and thinking “wow…that was my husband and I seven years ago!”

Dan and Sam’s Wedding was truly an International affair.  Being from New Zealand, Dan’s entire Wedding party and family flew over for the grand event and there were weeks of partying leading up to their big date.  I don’t know if all Weddings in New Zealand have as many fun traditions as Sam and Dan’s did; but if so, I need to move there!  The guys never walked anywhere!  They were always dancing and singing…even as they came down the aisle 🙂

Dan & Sam’s vision for their day was meant to be fun & laid back and yet everything was executed exquisitely.  There were gorgeous florals and colors and lots of “do it yourself touches” that made it so personal and inviting.

It was an absolute honour being involved in your day Dan and Sam and I hope that the images I captured bring back all the love, joy, emotion and FUN of your gorgeous day!
