Kelowna Wedding Photographer | Shawn & Leslie

As a Kelowna Wedding Photographer, it is always interesting how I first come to meet the Bride and Grooms I photograph.  Sometimes they find me online, others I know personally from living in the Okanagan for so long, and others are referred to me.  This lovely couple were referred to me by a dear high school friend (he’s the brother of the lovely bride) and I was thrilled when they hired me to capture their special day.

I was also thrilled when they told me their venue was Summerhill Pyramid Winery and they had hired English Rose for their Wedding Coordinating and Stage Right for decor.  I knew it was going to be a spectacularly fun day!

Leslie and Shawn are such a fun couple to work with.  Having photographed their Engagement Session this past winter, I knew we would have a blast on their Wedding day and that it would be filled with lots of laughter and love.

We scheduled the day to incorporate a “First Look” so they could spend their morning with us doing the Bride and Groom portraits down at the Kelowna Waterfront and so that Leslie could unveil her gorgeous self to Shawn in a more private setting.I love the “First Look” moments as it gives couples a chance to see each other for the first time, without a million pairs of eyes on them….so they can soak in the moment, realize this is the day they have been planning for….and they can have a quiet moment to connect with the person they love so dearly.

There were so many fun details.  The photo booth, the wine sabering, the wonderful children and the epic cake fight between the groom and his new mother in law!
