Photographers Vernon

This incredible fall has Photographers in Vernon wishing we had more October weddings! It was a stunning day for Doug and Rose; above the shimmering waters of Kalamalka Lake in Vernon. Their wedding also has this wedding photographer wishing more clients got married on the cliffs above this stunning lake. Seriously! What a backdrop for this beautiful couple, the brides parents and four friends. Doug is from Australia so he made sure to call his dad too and we said “hello” 🙂

Rose first heard about me as I photographed her brother and his wife this past summer for maternity portraits . They were on vacation from Alberta, and with a new baby now (congratulations!) they couldn’t make the wedding, but it was so lovely knowing I have photographed them too.

The day was so unseasonably hot and sunny that we actually needed to enlist one of their friends (thanks Scotty Poppins….glad you didn’t blow away) to hold an umbrella for some of the portraits so we could capture those ever beautiful lake portraits.

Thank you Doug and Rose for entrusting me to capture your beautiful wedding! What an exciting day it was. You looked beautiful in your dress Rose and I love how beautifully it worked for maternity portraits too. I look forward to working with you in the future when baby arrives. You will make a beautiful family of three.
